Arsenal injury boost ahead of Watford FA Cup clash

Arsenal will face Watford in the Quarter Final of FA Cup this Sunday at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have been without several of players but are now likely to welcome back two of them. Duo defenders Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista both are likely to return to the squad as the boss has confirmed that they have made good recovery.

Wenger confirmed that “both are likely to make it to the 18 men squad.”

The Gunners trio Mertesacker, Gabriel and Aaron Ramsey all picked up injury earlier this week during FA Cup game against Hull City.

Duo full-backs Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal are also available and Arsenal could start with the strongest back four after a long time.

Laurent Koscielny is the only defender who is still on the sideline. Wenger said regarding him that he is set to return but this game will be too soon for him.

Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck are all in line to start this game as Wenger eye to lift FA Cup for the third time in three years.
