Liverpool have revealed that striker Divock Origin has sustained a ligament injury which will sideline him for the remainder of the season.

The Reds striker has been in an excellent form, he has netted five goals in last five games. But now he will miss the remaining five Premier League games plus the Europa League semifinal next week.

Origi picked up an injury while playing against Everton few days ago in a Premier League Derby. Ramiro Funes Mori made a strong rough challenge which suspended him for the next three games. However, he has now apologized for the incident.

The recent reports from Liverpool medical team revealed a good news that he has not suffered a broken ankle problem but ligament is still an issue.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp told after the game that they could not celebrate the win because of Origi serious injury. The striker has been in great form and was needed in the Europa League games.

Origi is hoping to return soon as he eyes to join Belgium side for the coming European Championship.

Daniel Sturridge would now be filling his place in the starting eleven who is also in great form.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has given injury updates ahead of the Premier League clash against Everton this Saturday.

Arsenal injury updates ahead of Everton game
Arsenal will travel to Goodison Park to face Everton in a Premier League game this weekend.

Midfielder Mathieu Flamini is the recent one who has joined the injury list of the Gunners after picking up a hamstring injury in a Champions League game against Barcelona few days ago.

The list remains the same including Aaron Ramsey out with thigh, Jack Wilshere with leg, Tomas Rosicky with thigh, Santi Cazorla with Achilles, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with knee and Petr Cech with a calf injury.

Arsene Wenger updated that no one from the above list will be returning for the coming game. They still need time to return back to action.

The French boss said when asked about Cazorla and Wilshere, both of them ae still a month away, they could return to training after international break.

Ramsey, Cech and Flamini are all likely to return after the international break, as per the boss.

David Ospina will continue in the absence of Cech at goal while Callum Chambers is expected to take Flamini’s role in the midfield.
