Reports in Italy have revealed that Premier League side Arsenal have suffered a blow in their chase to sign Napoli midfielder Jorginho.
Arsenal bid rejected for Jorginho

Serie A side Napoli have rejected to sell their highly rated midfielder this month despite of strong links with the Gunners.

Italian media TuttoMercatoWeb reported that Arsenal have been keeping tabs on the midfielder for the past few weeks and the recently made bid have been rejected.

The Gunners have been suffering with injury crisis especially when it comes to midfield. Mikel Arteta, Mathieu Flamini, Francis Coquelin and Tomas Rosicky all have been out since long.

The North London side have only signed Mohamed Elneny in this transfer window and are yet to seal second deal.

Italian side Napoli would plan to sell him in the summer but will not let him leave this month.

Jorginho has been one of the finest midfielder in the Serie A so far this term. The 24-year-old joined Napoli from Verona in 2013. He has made 71 appearances so far in all competitions.

The Brazilian born midfielder has decided to play for France rather than Brazil. However, he is yet to be called for his debut.
